I have learned that Little Hot Mess broke down training at Delaware Park Thursday and is dead. She was five years old and had been put to the whip 16 times.
This, every day, is horseracing.

Unless you’re 100% vegetarian and you’re saying these things your just a hypocrite. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Stop the lies, the abuse, and the slaughter!
The population of Thoroughbreds registered with The Jockey Club has declined since it peaked in 1986. If there are fewer Thoroughbred horses being killed, it’s because there are fewer Thoroughbred horses available in this decade. The rate of killing is most likely the same.
It’s telling when the people in the racing industry come up with formulas to confuse the issue of how many horses are being killed each year by the racing industry and hiding the numbers of Thoroughbreds being shipped to slaughterhouses in Mexico and Canada.
If they are sold and shipped to Korea or Japan, consider them doomed to be slaughtered in a slaughterhouse in those countries after they are injured on the racetrack. If a very young filly bleeds from Exercise Induced Pulmonary Hemorrhage, they can haul her a short distance in Korea to be slaughtered for her meat.
The cheating, lying and abuse of horses is a trademark of horseracing.
Light Up Racing is one prime example of the dishonesty inherent to exploiting horses for money.
