  1. Molly, there is more bullshit coming out of the mouths of the guilty two-faced abusers of horses for racing and Pari-mutuel gambling in California and any other state with horseracing than there is manure in a feedlot.
It’s a no-brainer that these lowlife scumballs are going to lie about the use of illegal electrical shocking devices, usually carefully concealed from view, that has been captured on video and photographs posted on Facebook in the past.
Remember the motto of horseracing: “winning” at all costs. It’s detestable and deplorable what these people do to horses for money and then turn around and say, “Who me? I didn’t know that happened here!” Bullshit.

  3. Jockey investigated for allegedly using buzzer on horse?

A quarter horse jockey is under investigation for allegedly using an electronic buzzer on his horse during the second race at Fairplex Park, looking into the charge against jockey Carlos Bautista.

An electronic buzzer can be used to shock a horse into running faster. Marten said in the 30 years he’s been involved in horse racing, there have been only a few investigations like this that he could recall. He said he didn’t believe this sort of thing happened very often in California.

  4. Wanda, when I mentioned he had the sudden burst of energy, I was wondering if he had some help.

  5. He survived for less than 1/5th of his life span in misery, a slave to the sleazy racing business.
He never got a chance to be a horse.

  6. Yes, Molly, drugs. It’s also possible that the jockey used a buzzer on WAHEEL. The horse won the race and had a fatal breakdown so his connections are most likely focused on their next victim.

  8. I’m seldom able to bring myself to watch these horrific videos but I did watch this one. I’ve never had faith in human beings but even so, I was stunned that the jockey remained on this poor horse’s back during an obvious catastrophic breakdown. The cruelty inflicted on these majestic creatures is beyond the pale and in our faces. They make no effort to conceal their disregard for the well-being of the equines that feed them. It’s appalling.

  9. This was a claiming race and the claiming price was $4,000 so WAHEEL was exploited like a used car as far as any empathy for the horse goes. These psychopathic animal abusers are incapable of actually caring about the horse as a horse. The horse is a means to an end for these greedy money-grubbing racetrackers. No compassion, no empathy for the horse; just a “paycheck” in this despicable industry.

  10. The replay video shows Waheel last most of the way around. Approaching the finish, he has this sudden burst of energy to overtake the leader and win the race. We know how that ended up though…pushed to the brink. Sad sad sad

  11. Having these breakdowns shown on video will demonstrate to all the horrible truth about racing. Appreciate the videographer who videoed the incident. Sometimes very difficult to get these videos as many tracks don`t allow videoing of any races at their facilities except of course winner circle celebrations!
