Texas Star, Apr 19, Lone Star R
“Collapsed and died on track.” Texas Star was three years old.
Wyld Hare, Jul 24, Retama S
“Death due to colic.” Wyld was two years old and being prepped for her first race.
Kiss With a Fist, Aug 9, Retama R
“Fell past wire – euthanized.” Kiss was six years old.
Op Lil Becca, Aug 16, Lone Star S
“Colic, euthanized.” Op was three years old and had last been raced Jul 27.
Tarzans Favorite, Sep 12, Lone Star R (euth Sep 14)
“Vanned off, euthanized 48 hours later.” Tarzans was three years old.
Bv Daddys First Dove, Sep 21, Lone Star R
“Scapula fracture, vanned off, euthanized.” Bv was three years old.
Shes Fearless, Oct 15, Lone Star T
“Slab fracture, vanned off, euthanized.” Shes Fearless was two years old.
Talk to My Lips, Oct 26, Lone Star R
“[Multiple] fractures, euthanized on ambulance.” Talk was four years old.
She Opening Cash, Oct 31, Lone Star R
“Went down at start of race, could not stand – euthanized on track.” She Opening Cash was three years old.
Tommyjessdoggin, Oct 31, Lone Star R
“[Multiple] fractures, euthanized on ambulance.” Tommy was two years old.
Jess Chantal Perry, Nov 9, Lone Star R
“Fractured cannon, fell, euthanized on track.” Jess was two years old.
And although not listed as a fatality, this happened to 3-year-old A Fabulous Miracle at Lone Star Oct 19: “Injured in starting gate – blunt trauma to right eye – vanned off.” A Fabulous hasn’t been heard from since.
