Elector was euthanized after suffering an “inoperable injury” while training at Del Mar Saturday. The 6-year-old becomes the 8th kill at Del Mar, the self-styled safest track in America, this year and 95th (that we know about) in California overall.

Aren’t they all the “safest” tracks? Especially the elite racetracks?
I was under the impression that the New York Racing Association set the standard for safety and safe tracks. Well maybe that’s history now. Time to turn the page.
