A young horse perished at Belmont Thursday after suffering three days from colic, says the Gaming Commission. The poor horse was so young, in fact, he/she did not even have a name yet. This is the 52nd disclosed kill in NY this year.

Did the connections to this young and underdeveloped colt or filly have a veterinarian euthanize him/her? Or, did they “wait and see” and leave the suffering animal to die in pain and agony without euthanasia?
