Tres Seis Sizziling, Apr 25, Remington R – “fractured skull”

This so called “sport” is responsible for countless scenes of abhorrent cruelty like you described, Marie.
It is impossible to imagine how these people are so nonchalant about the suffering and terror they cause their animals. And to think they get away with it day after day because it is racing and these are “race horses”
It is a sorry, sick attempt to somehow justify the unjustifiable.
I saw Grey Pearl’s race and I will forever be haunted by both her front legs breaking and her stopping with her nose in the dirt, standing, waiting for the vet to arrive, and the outrider causally trotting over to her.
The depravity of the people in this industry is unacceptable! They couldn’t possibly wait for these young and underdeveloped colts and fillies to grow up and become mature at SIX YEARS OF AGE.
They ran them to catastrophic injuries and killed them at an age where people who actually care about the health and longevity of their horses wouldn’t dare ride them, let alone run them at a full gallop.
These morally depraved people who are abusing horses to death should be charged, tried, convicted and put in jail.
