The Moonrise Festival is taking place at Pimlico this weekend. Last year, there was a lot of foot traffic as well as more people driving by. This is a great opportunity to reach a lot of people and advocate for the horses.
Since the beginning of 2020, over 100 horses have been killed at various Maryland tracks. Most of those deaths occurred at Laurel Park & Pimlico.
Join us as we leaflet and educate the public on the tragic truth behind horse racing and why it must end.
Horse racing is whipping, drugging, solitary confinement and slaughter. Together we can help end this animal abuse.
I will supply the leaflets. Also, I have plenty of posters but you can always make your own if you’d like to.
*** Outreach Area/Parking : We will be leafletting on the corner of W. Northern Parkway & Pimlico Rd.
** I believe our usual parking spot (across the street) may be prohibited the day of the festival. If so, drive further into the neighbourhood. There is plenty of free street parking.
