If she just turned 5. Makes me so sick. Heavenly creatures
FUNWHILEITLASTED (a Pennsylvania-bred) was born on March 3, 2018. Her total number of career starts was 24. Or you could say she had been raced a total of 24 times in her short life as a two-year-old, a three-year-old, and a four-year-old.
Her first start (race) was on June 10, 2020 at Tampa Bay. She was trafficked to and raced in several different states. Her last race, or start, or 24th time under the whip was February 13, 2023 at Parx Racing.
Her racing “career” consisted of 6 starts in 2020, 7 starts in 2021, 9 starts in 2022 and 2 starts in 2023.
She also has 2 workouts at Belmont Park of 4 Furlongs each on January 10, 2023 and February 7, 2023 before her last race at Parx Racing (on February 13).
I don’t know how many miles that is from Belmont to Parx and back, but she was definitely “trafficked” which is the term many people use to describe the hauling of horses from state to state, or miles and miles away from home. Home for a racehorse? Is there such a thing?
Yes, Linda, I often use “put to the whip” in lieu of raced. But that was the number of races.
