The following images were captured by HW activists at Laurel Park last Thursday. The horse’s name is Scintillio; he had just finished 10th (of 11) in the 6th race. The chart, it should be noted, said absolutely nothing about the blood in Scintillio’s mouth.
I can’t help but think about the fact that there are so many people that could look at this horse being treated this way and think there’s nothing wrong with that…🤮🤬🤬🤬
What pisses me off is that there are people who own horses who defend this kind of disgusting abuse and who can see the blood, the breakdowns, and the catastrophic deaths and STILL insist that racehorses are well cared for and that racing is humane.
“Treated like royalty”, “amazing care” and other lines of complete and total b*******
are manufactured by vile, despicable exploiters of horses in an attempt to justify the abuse and killing of sentient beings.
Why should these despicable people care about the health, well-being, or happiness of a horse when they are incapable of caring about anything that requires compassion and our laws do not recognize and severely punish this unacceptable cruelty to horses?
All they show that they care about is their own gratification to dominate an animal that is much bigger, heavier, taller than any human being and how they can exploit the horses for money and cheap thrills. How can good come from evil? These vile people should be punished by law and locked up.
Why does our society allow this egregious-cruelty-to-horses to continue?
