  1. Were the July 1st scratches at CDI 5 in total? That`s terrible! From what we have read CDI would prefer to only have casinos with only a couple of big days racing. Feel so much sorrow for these exploited horses.

    • Four horses on Vet’s List and one horse scratched — it sounds bad but we already knew racing horses was bad. It might be a sign that the veterinarians are paying attention, to a point at least. Who knows how many horses might have slipped through the cracks of this routinely cruel, sadistic, horse-abusing gambling racket? No horse deserves this!

  3. Is BIG JAVA alive or dead after being raced, finishing last in the race and having a heat stroke on July 1st?
    As far as I know, a horse will collapse and die from a heatstroke. To what degree can a horse have a heatstroke and be placed on the Vet’s List and live?

  4. Fri at monmouth 6th race sip n dip hit rail list jockey and slid under rail they said he and jockey j batista were being tended to jock got hurt sprained ankle i cant imagine how horse is he was vanned off no word on horse
