The 2nd at Emerald yesterday was Parker’s Gold’s very first race; it was also his last. According to the chartwriter, the 2-year-old “appeared to take a bad step and fell”; in fact, he snapped a leg and is dead. The replay, by the way, has been rendered “unavailable” by the track’s suits. Cowards, and killers.
a racetrack should not be able to withhold a film
A racetrack should not be able to ABUSE & KILL horses under any circumstances and they should not be able to make millions of dollars in the process!!!!!
All of these people should be arrested for FELONY ANIMAL CRUELTY and punished!
All government subsidies and government-directed benefits of all kinds to racetracks and horse-abusing, horse-killing groups should be STOPPED!!!!
ALL racetracks should be put out of the horse ABUSING and horse KILLING business!!!!
When will this blatant and wanton abuse and destruction of these innocent horses stop??? All for the sake of five minutes of fame and greed.
Stop these horrible races, horses can’t take it. Or they are doping them up too win💔💔💔💔🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😭😭😭😭
You may be able to see a video of the race on Equibase, but you need to register to do so. The charts are free to look at.
Parker’s Gold’s owner has been a high-profile owner at EMD for several years. He owns PG’s sire, Gold Rush Dancer, who last raced at Parx in February 2022. GRD won EMD’s most prestigious race, the Longacres Mile, in August 2017, then was retired about a year later after a few stakes races in SoCal, where he did not hit the board. Word was that he did not “do well” at stud (although he sired 16 horses), so he was returned to racing at Parx in January 2021. Since I no longer have any contact with anyone at EMD, I don’t know what has become of GRD after his last race, where his claiming price was $16,000. RIP Parker’s Gold.
Thank you, Rifineach. I sometimes download the charts, but so far I have not signed up for an account with Equibase to view the videos. I really don’t want to see horses getting injured that bad. I sometimes watch the videos when Patrick Battuello is able to make them available here. The abuse to racehorses is everyday routine cruelty!!!! For 23 hours a day, humans keep the horses from being able to live a normal life by keeping them in solitary confinement. The other hour involves more physical and mental torture. So, for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the horses are forced to endure the torture of being in servitude to selfish, greedy, narcissistic, money-grubbing, power-mongering stakeholders.
Horseracing needs to be done away with!!!!
