Ballet Royalty, the CHRB says, did not make it out of her Saturday race at Los Alamitos alive – “sudden death,” they’re calling it. The death must have occurred post-wire, as Ballet, according to the chart, finished the race, albeit last. She was five years old.

THIS MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH!!! I LOVE ANIMALS SO MUCH AND DON’T FEEL HORSE RACING SHOULD EVEN EXIST, IT IS A SHAME ALL INNOCENT ANIMALS HAVE TO SUFFER DUE TO CREEPY HUMANS, HOW WOULD THEY LIKE TO BE PUT IN THESE POOR INNOCENT ANIMALS PLACE????

I AGREE THIS MAKES ME SO SICK AND SO MAD. HUMANS SUCK THEY ABUSE AND TORTURE THESE ANIMALS ALL FO MONEY, GODDAM MONEY. HORSE RACING HAS TO BE STOPPED, THE TRAINERS TO THE SMALL JOCKEYS ARE PURR DEVILS THAT IN MY EYE SHOULD BE DEAD. DEAD AS IN THE INNOCENT ANIMALS THEY KILL EVERY DAY. THERE ARE SO MANY BAD, BAD AND ROTTEN HUMANS IN THE WORLD. ALL OF THE PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BE TORTURED AS WELL, ALL THAT JOIN IN AT HORSE RACES ARE JUST AS SICK AND FUCKED UP AS THE TRAINERS, OWNERS, AND JOCKEY’S.
I TRULY HOPE VERY SOON THEY ALL GET EXACTLY AND EVERYTHING THEY DESERVE TOTAL PAIN AND SICKNESS FOR THE REST OF WHAT I HOPE IS A VERY SHORT LIFE.

So this is what it takes for a new entry in the CHRB’s Equine Fatalities List these days, huh? A racehorse has to keel over and die, Medina Spirit-style, right there in front of a crowd of oh-so-compassionate racing addicts (who couldn’t give a damn one way or the other about a horse’s actual living-or-dead existence). Humanitarian horseplayers (there aren’t any) were probably too busy studying their tickets and planning their next wager to have noticed poor Ballet Royalty when she hit the ground. And if any did notice, it’s not like they haven’t witnessed it a thousand times before. So, hey: “Ballet who? Didn’t affect my ticket, so why report it, Mr. high-credibility Los Al Horse Hell chartwriter?”
Anyway, this lone racing kill still has no bearing whatsoever on LAHH’s impeccable TRAINING DEATH record. Ol’ Doc Allred can keep on rightfully claiming to have the World’s Safest Training Track. Not a single animal has been fatally injured during morning workouts since last April(!). And I don’t see any reason to believe they’re gonna go back to hosting those deaths, ever. Hooray!
So, once again, to the fine so-called regulators at the CHRB: heartfelt thanks for your unavoidable, lone death admission. All your super-safe, life-saving safety measures are really paying off — for everyone except poor Ballet Royalty…
(Oh, and all the other injured equines taken off track property to be put down. Those too.)
I hate to say this but it’s like just another day at the races to, you know, sacrifice a horse’s life for gambling. Some people can make bets on horses and win money or lose money. Logically speaking more money will be lost than won by gamblers. The Stronachs, regardless of what business name they have used in the past or are using in the present time, are making money off of people betting on the racehorses.
The fact that horses are killed in the process is just something to sweep under the rug to them. You know that these despicable people are going to continue to lie about the jobs they allegedly create and lobby for the government handouts to keep this bloody horror show going.
The legislative branch needs to represent the majority of the people. Stop catering to the corporate greed.
I take it this was one of these quarter horse races where they go so fast for a short race. I have always thought the barbaric Steeplechase was the worst but this is right down there with it.
It’s basically form to function. The sprint horses can be Thoroughbred or Quarter Horse. The racing Quarter Horses have mostly Thoroughbred bloodlines that have the conformation to run 220 yards to 440 yards to sometimes a little farther but less than a mile. A race is a race and forcing young horses to run faster than they ever should at a young age when they’re not fully developed yet is the worst part. There are so many bad parts about horseracing that it is basically an endless list of wrong, wrong, wrong.
What really gets to me, is how this “HORSE RACING KILLINGS, has absolutely, No , effect on ALL these Demonic Humans that RUN this MURDER INDUSTRY! They actually, GET AWAY with MURDER! & it keeps Going! So many Politicians & the CONNECTIONS that these People have, that we don’t! These countries including the UNITED STATES, are committing such ASTROSITIES & such a hatred of Animals, They are bestowing their own “ SELF HATE”, on helpless Animals! They just don’t care. These are the BEASTS that we have running the WORLD! WELL, soon their turn will come, & I could ASSURE you, the “CREATOR, of the Universe, will SPILL on these human “DEMONS, “, a DESTRUCTION that has NEVER been WITNESSED Before! That is GODS WORD!!!
It’s all money-without it this so called sport would not happen. I despair-why do the innocents have to die for the fun and ‘excitement’ of the brainless and uncaring? It’s this sort of disrespect for our fellow inhabitants of the planet which man thinks is his right which causes the imbalance-think! animals were put on the earth with man-NOT for man!
I just have nothing to even say anymore. Any human involved in this business in any position is nothing but corrupt scum. There is no redeeming this industry. It needs to be completely shut down.
Between this business and so many other horrors toward animals, I find myself praying for covid to return and take care of ridding the planet of the human virus that just uses up and kills animals for fun and profit and thinks nothing more of them.
We live right now in a pathetic people and society,think about it, the people who inhabit today’s America have made no education or discernible talent (Kardashian’s) the richest of our country. There is a no attention span shallowness of Americans right now. Which makes it all the more URGENT that we save the horses from these lazy humans who draw a paycheck from this antiquated pure evil. The grossness of today’s American people knows no boundaries …. sadly.
