In the 2nd at Belmont yesterday, Latin Love Bug “went wrong, fell,” and, I can confirm, is dead. He was six years old, and this was his 48th time under the whip. He is the 18th dead racehorse at Belmont this year (after 53 last year), and 25th at all NYRA (Aqueduct, Belmont, Saratoga) tracks. Sort of puts the lie to “best proven safety practices,” wouldn’t you say?
R.I.P. LATIN LOVE BUG, you died in servitude to the social degenerates who used you and trashed you. You deserved compassion and genuine love, but you got abused to death while ignorant, indifferent gamblers made wagers on Thoroughbred race horses and “had fun” at a racetrack. 💔💔💔💔💔
NBC and the Paulick Report don’t give a crap about this horse named LATIN LOVE BUG. Mostly all we’re going to hear about from the most prominent media is the most prominent races and one of the most prominent cheating trainers, Bob Baffert. They can talk about how terrible it is to run sore horses, as if there is nothing else wrong with horse racing. We shouldn’t allow this running of “sore horses” as if all of the rest of horse racing is okay. Horse racing is NOT OKAY at any part of this filthy, vile gambling game.
I totally agree with Wanda Diamond!
Reblogged this on Armory of the Revolution.
Horse racing is absolutely despicable and most of those owners are only in it to make money with NO regard for any horse. Hope they go to hell

Weird how Belmont’s otherwise-loquacious chartwriter decided to omit the outcome of poor Bug’s tragic final race. “Went wrong…fell.” Then lived happily ever after. The End. Guess he/she just didn’t realize the suffering, floundering animal behind the screen was being euthanized, what with all the triumphant winner’s circle festivities going on nearby. Hey, it’s an easy thing to miss; you see one horse fall every day or so for decades, and you kinda learn to focus on the really, really important matters going on: you know, arrogant assholes celebrating their proud “victory” over all the other arrogant assholes who didn’t fare as well that day in the sick game of abusing animals for fun and profit.
So, Mr./Ms. Chart Fiction Writer probably decided that less is more when it comes to Daily Death Word Count. Besides, Latin Love Bug clearly brought his own demise on himself, since he and he alone “WENT WRONG.”
It was Bug’s own flagrant irresponsibility that killed him, so why admit his death in the official chart?
