  1. Horse racing is a public slaughterhouse.
America we can do better than this.
The racetracks that have closed have been replaced with positive business entities and revenue into the public coffers – the complete opposite of this vile business.
It’s long overdue to stop the funding and begin the process of phasing out horse racing until it’s shut down.
There are no reforms that can correct this deep-seated evil and corrupt business that requires the crippling and killing of racehorses to flip a buck.
It has no place in a civilized society – none.
Sorry for all the racehorses on this kill list.
From 2 y.o babies, to racehorses who has DNF in their PP’s, to ones who barely finished their last race.
Of course the dumping and selling into the claiming ranks like recycled trash.
This business is rotten to the core and it has got to go!

  2. Bodexpress suffered “a career ending injury last week”, so now he’s done too, and they are “finalizing plans for stallion duties”. I noticed some one on twitter comment, “hey how about letting these horses heal up and make sure they are ok before shipping them off to breed?! They’ve given you so much – wouldn’t it be nice if you were concerned about their well-being instead of being worried about breeding plans??” I was impressed by this comment. And again, why breed more unsound horses. The definition of insanity …

    • Peggy, the last thing this world needs is more horses. C’mon, you Ky. idiots, let’s not ADD to the PROBLEM.

      • Bonnie and Peggy
Princess Noor was injured and on the way to the breeding shed also. So at least 2 horses hurt in a race and off to their “new careers” to make more money chips

  3. It’s been announced! Princess Noor will be bred to…. Into Mischief! That should go well.

  4. Speaking of van-off outcomes that these tracks refuse to acknowledge and admit: Gulfstream just ran their daily horror show in race 8 (the one they’re calling their “Feature Race,” for what it’s worth.) It appears jockey Victor Lebron REALLY wanted to earn himself that 40 bucks for finishing the race — well, sort of finishing it, anyway. He just forced Geonosis to JOG in far behind, cross the wire, and THEN get vanned off in distress.
Thanks for proving the Stronach Group’s claim that Horse Safety is a “top priority” at all their tracks, Victor. You’re our hero.

  5. The corruption continues unabated in California.
Bob Baffert 100% exonerated from the positive doping result of Justify and to top it off with some icing?
The order of finish will remain with Justify as the winner.
    Teflon Bob – outrageous!
Then there’s multiple racehorse killing “trainer” Linda Rice.
Her hearings into corruption has ended, but the decision was reserved until some weeks away.
This is often a tactic used in horse racing for any violation.
The decision gets delayed so by the time it comes out everybody has forgotten about it or its watered down.
What a vile business and it’s so sad that the racehorses are the victims.
