Wichita, a 3-year-old colt, fractured a leg in a training session earlier this month, was operated on, and was ultimately euthanized Friday for “complications.” In his brief one-year “career,” Wichita had been bounced from Ireland, to England, to France, and finally, to Australia. Imagine that. Racing Victoria, one of Australia’s governing bodies, said this: “RV extends its condolences to the owners of the horse, trainer Aidan O’Brien, his stable staff and all who cared for the horse and are greatly saddened by their loss.” “Their loss” – vile, as usual.
Wichita, as captured by our advocate allies in the U.K., Animal Aid. Animal Aid, by the way, has been recording kills on U.K. racetracks since 2007: Race Horse Death Watch. So you see, this is not an “American problem”; they kill horses everywhere.
What a beautiful horse, so damn heartbreaking to read his short life among humans ‘who so loved and cared for him’. Yes, the killing goes on around the world. Horseracing needs to end now, period!!!! Rest in peace WICHITA…

How anyone can not take care of the wellbeing of these horses is beyond comprehension.
This report of the catastrophic injury and death of WICHITA epitomizes the morally depraved modus operandi of those people involved in horse racing.
All of the racing participants who know the anatomy and physiology of the horse and even those who are less educated but still have even a remote understanding of the development and such of living, breathing animals, especially horses, would have said, “No! Do not force this horse to run!!!!” if they had an ounce of compassion for the horse!
In the case of MONGOLIAN GROOM, it is well documented that he had small fractures in his fetlock joint before he was entered to race in the Breeders’ Cup race. It is in the X-RAYS before he was forced to run in the Breeders’ Cup race. The photos of the X-RAYS of his catastrophic injuries are in the report by Dr. Lawrence (Larry) Bramlage. So, isn’t it glaringly obvious to anyone with an ounce of common sense, especially those who have access to the report and can read it and see the photos of the X-RAYS, that all of the key racing participants knew it was going to be a disaster waiting to happen to force MG to run in a race??? It’s as Gina has said multiple times about multiple horses: “THEY SENT HIM OUT TO DIE!!!!!” It is a no-brainer that there is no compassion in the hearts of these racing participants.

Indeed it’s a horse killing global pandemic. These parasites shedding fake tears for their “beloved” horses make me absolutely sick. This poor, beautiful baby was shipped half way around the world only to arrive at the destination to be whipped and forced to run so his demented connections could squeeze every last drop out of him. And they have the audacity to claim they are “deeply saddened”. What a horrible life and death for this magnificent being!

~Condolences sent to the owner, trainer and all who looked after him!!!! Don’t make me laugh, NO-ONE looked after him, all they were interested in was the filthy, dirty money that they would have been winning while racing him to his ultimate death. No doubt they also collected the insurance money AND the slaughterhouse fee. Heartless, gutless, soul-less POS, every single one of them.
When a horse is killed at the racetrack, the rendering company collects the horse’s dead body, or it might be improperly disposed of in a landfill. If the horse is sold into the slaughter pipeline, the horse has to be alive. Killbuyers buy live horses. Slaughterhouses don’t buy dead horses.
Stop the killing
