An addendum to this morning’s post: Tikhvin Flew, a “bad steps [yes, that again], vanned off” in the 5th at Belmont Oct 4, has been confirmed dead. He was four; ’twas his 14th time under the whip. This brings the 2020 death toll to 42 for Belmont, 73 at all NY tracks. “An industry leader in safety,” huh?

Where is the “Thoroughbred Safety Coalition” now?
Could they be “out to lunch” until further notice?
