    • Wanda, what these humans put these horses through, is brutal torture, all in the name of a-hole degenerate gamblers. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…bring these criminals up on charges-make them pay lawyer fees.

  1. G Q COVERGIRL – Yet another victim of one of the biggest parasite scums in horse racing: Doug O’Neill.
This 6 year old mare run her fanny-off for this disgusting monster making over $200,000.
BOTH legs snapped-off – BOTH downright heartbreaking.
This evil person, rotten to the core, probably knew that GQ COVERGIRL was having serious issues with her cannon bones and, mostly likely, doped and SWT’d her until the cows come home.
Of course we will never know because this vile business covers-up the documents that could prove otherwise and defends racehorse killers.
Not even the law protects racehorses, which results in egregious practices that often lead to their death because they won’t be held accountable.
Kind of like a bank robber who just keeps robbing banks with no charges or repercussions – same thing.
Doug O’Neill has killed a ton of racehorses – a Class “A” racehorse killer some under suspicious circumstances.
BYE BYE BEAUTIFUL – highly suspicious death.
Purchased for $210,000 doesn’t show much in either the workouts or first start and dies in her second start.
Bred by CEO of Keeneland, Barbara Banke’s Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings whose had lots of racehorses die either under her ownership or somebody else’s, but what does it matter?
Rich or poor, these racehorses are not immune to the horrific endings that this business is solely responsible for.
Utterly disgusting and why would anybody continue to breed and support such endings?

  2. So much has been written and said about poor Mongolian Groom that the public became far more familiar with his name than that of the actual Bleeders’ Cup Classic WINNER, Vino Ross-Whatever.
And yet, the Santa Anita Death Track just stubbornly carried on…and on, and on, and on.
Until the L.A. County Health Dept. finally did what the CHRB WOULDN’T: they shut down the SADT. Don’t get me wrong; I’m aware that SADT will feebly reopen and sputter along for a short while, until the inevitable day they’ll fall off the map forever. And ever, and ever, Amen:)

    • Kelly the public saw Mongolian Groom accident in a well publicized race. No camera quickly blocking it out this time. Full exposure.

      • Right, Nancy. Part of the race was on YouTube video for instant replay which is totally the opposite of what the racing industry would have wanted. In previous decades, replaying the video of a race with a horse going down and being injured and vanned off WAS NOT DONE. It was kept as mysterious as possible and hidden as much as possible.

  3. Yet ANOTHER heartbreaking list. To make a baby 2 year old suffer for 10 TEN days in hopes they can abuse her some more by turning her into a brood mare??!! Aka foaling factory??!! Squeeze every drop of life out of them, you soulless excrements!
What more can be said about Mongolian Groom, Bye Bye Beautiful, GQ Covergirl and all the others named here (some not even named) that has not been said already?? Rest In Peace!! The world WILL change and bring forth the END of this disgusting, cruel, abusive, fraudulent, vile, corrupt, loathsome etc.etc. industry.

  4. This is the brutality of racing.
Bye bye Beautiful, was being forced to race with “severe extensive cartilage loss”. Of course she was showing signs of this serious debilitating damage, but her connections, all seven (7) of them, along with the trainer, Kruljac, whose wife ?, wife ? Norine, was one of the owners, kept pushing this filly until she was killed.
Also, the chart said “catastrophic “ injury but was loaded into a van, anyway!!!
Further, there was consideration of “saving” a 2yr. Old with a “complete, displaced slab fracture’” to be used as a broodmare!!! Kept in that condition with antiflamitories for 10 days!!
Is there any limit to the suffering perpetrated on these helpless, hapless horses?

  5. It took an order from the L.A. and the Alameda Health Departments to close down horse racing at Santa Anita and Golden Gates respectively for now.
While most all businesses in California closed down voluntarily horse racing was hell bent on keeping their killing show going.
They should be ordered to van the racehorses off the grounds, out to a farm where very little labor is required and also greatly reduces the potential for spreading this deadly virus in the surrounding communities and not even training should be going on there.
It should be shut down entirely and nobody should be mobile right now except for healthcare workers and food essentials.
On that note, Gulfstream Park should have been shut down weeks ago as they are the next epicenter and they have a large Senior population which are more vulnerable to dying from Covid-19.
I was going to say that the silver lining is that racehorses are getting some respite, but that would be inaccurate because they are still killing them.
Not even a pandemic is enough for them to stop killing them – unreal.
