As I’ve oft written, having been at this for almost seven years, I have a pretty good feel for the individual styles of the various chartwriters at American tracks – as well as their default euphemisms for dead. At Los Alamitos, for example, the preferred dead-speak is “injured, vanned off.” Yesterday, that was the “note” given to Chickititas Favorite in the 5th. And sure enough, I have confirmed (CHRB), the 3-year-old is dead.
Thus far, 24 horses have been killed at California tracks in 2020 – this, after a nightmare 2019 and the supposed reforms and safety initiatives that came in its wake. In other words, they can’t stop the killing. And they know it.

May all of these horses rest in peace. I hope all 27 of the people involved in the illegal doping/drugging scheme go to jail. I wonder how many of these horses might still be alive if they had not been doped or drugged. I know doping and drugging is only part of what is wrong with horseracing. Horseracing itself is wrong because, in part, they start riding and racing young horses that should be out grazing on pasture and allowed to have companionship with other horses. Locking them up in a stall 23 hours a day is not okay. It is a form of torture of horses used in racing. Their human connections should be locked up!
Wanda…XYJet with his ” heart attack” has been mentioned in regards to this breaking news. Do you hear the stampede of all of them petrified company is coming?
The despicable list of 27 trainers, owners, veterinarians, and others arrested for their actions of “unbridled greed” for their criminal actions against the horses in their care deserve to have their licenses revoked, never to be reinstated and NEVER to be able to have an animal of any kind ever again. America needs to have ZERO tolerance for this abject animal cruelty and abuse.

And, we watch, (not) amused, as all horse racing folks suddenly slither out from within their collective, horse-killing compounds to pretend to condemn the “cheaters, dopers, abusers,” who, they claim, are “ruining our game.” Classic.

My heart breaks for all of these horses that have been injured and that have died. God bless all of them! I am so glad God is looking over all of this and that Justice will finally begin for these horses. The 27 that have been indicted hopefully we’ll do some hard time. They need to start getting all of the people in California as well and throw their asses in prison as well. It was interesting how the investigators came on to the whole doping Scandal, they were investigating something else and found out about the doping scandal. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I thank God that they were caught! Thank you Patrick for bringing all of this to light, and thank you investigators for working diligently to get all of these despicable beings indicted.

This is an atrociously inhumane so called sport.
Anyone participating in such hanous treatment or as a bystander is not an innocent.
Horses may love to run but they do not love racing.
This is a tragedy and needs to be stopped.
All the sudden deaths and many of the head injuries are highly suspect. I spoke to an official concerning one of the head injury deaths and when I suggested a blow to the head was a logical conclusion he did not contradict me, just said there were “no witnesses”. So the perpetrators, although barred from the state, are free to set up shop elsewhere…hard to believe but this is what goes on in racing.
This business has been getting away with murder. However, it may be that the evil is starting to catch up with these people. At the very least, it is now glaringly evident racing is a criminal enterprise and should never have been policing itself. The internal so called investigations are a ridiculous sham not mention the total lack of accountability. An incestuous gambling business riddled with conflicts of interest policing itself and run by complicit animal abusing criminals is a recipe for disaster, mainly for the horses. The evidence is irrefutable.
The only way to “clean it up” is to shut it down.

24 gorgeous lives taken for cheap “entertainment” and for some to stuff their wallets off their backs. And we’re only 12 weeks into the year. How disgusting is THAT?? Looking at the criminals in this business it is clear too see there is no species more destructive than humans!! They embrace the ugly and destroy the beauty. All I am hoping and praying that the indicted monsters never, ever even get close to a horse again AND that this has opened the door to more investigations, many more indictments and the DEATH of this monstrous industry.
