  1. we need to bank horse racing entirely. the drugging of horses is making them vulnerable. and nobdy need to make them run.nobody.

  2. Horse racing is a blood sport. It should not be any more acceptable than bull fights and dog fights! End it now!!!

  3. Horse racing is about money. No one really cares about the horses. Especially after they are done racing. Most go to slaughter houses. Why should we as people benefit from racing animals? All for money? If people in the racing industry cared at all, the retired horses would be put to pasture. They can’t even do that for them. It has been said, “The human race is the worst race”. Stand up for the voiceless!! Do not support horse racing or any other form of animal entertainment. Animals deserve better!!!

  4. Shame on the horse owners who race their horses at Santa Anita. They obviously don’t give a damn about their horses — only the money!

  5. CLOSE THE TRACK!!! How greedy are people that they obviously don’t care if an innocent animal has to die because money is more important? There is no excuse for this. One would hope the horse owners would value their horses more than they do, especially seeing how many have already died and knowing more will die before the season is over. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!!

  6. WHAT THE F¥<K!!??!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯😤😤😤😤😤😤🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
So I’m guessing the SELFISH, IGNORANT, GREEDY, CRUEL and DISGUSTING POFS “humans” are just going to keep going on with this … wtf are they waiting for?!
    Probably a $$$$ bet placed that they’d get to 50?!!!!!!! 😭🤬😤

  7. This public butcher show needs to shut down.
It has no place in the 21st century – none.

  8. Animal rights where are you? Most likly big money is sweeping this all under the carpet. I know someone is getting paid to make this go away. Why arnt people boycotting racing?

    • We are, Delinda. Horseracing Wrongs is now sponsoring protests at 21 tracks in 16 states, including Santa Anita. We expect 100-150 activists for this Saturday’s Belmont Stakes. Please reach out to our vice president, Nicole, if you are interested in either joining a protest or organizing one: nicole@horseracingwrongs.com.

  9. This is absolutely horrible I personally think someone is doing something before these horses run not that many horses would be dying just because of the track I’m not sure but that’s my opinion. Stop killing such beautiful creatures

  10. I have always hated horse racing. They don’t give a damn about the horse’s.

  11. Is this mainly at this track or are there similar statistics at other tracks?

    • Racehorses die everywhere, every day, Marsha. We estimate that over 2,000 horses are killed racing or training across America annually. So, no, it’s not a Santa Anita problem.

  12. It is a Santa Anita problem this year. Something needs to be done. I agree where are the activists?

  13. What the hell is it going to take to make this stop. This is so heartbreaking. Maybe the jockeys should watch their backs when leaving santa anita for the day. If the jockeys are gone then the owners cant race their horses. You people are like the 3rd world countries. This is so barbaric.

  14. The fact this many horses have died at this Track within 6 months is beyond SICKENING. Many tests show the Track sound, I believe it’s not, Why would 32 owners kill their expensive horses its a tremendous loss for them, ( meaning drugging) Santa Anita was built in 1907, it’s a very old Racetrack. No more horses should have to die, Close this Track.

  15. SHUT DOWN THIS HORRIFIC INDUSTRY — Keep in mind that horses, these majestic animals, are sensitive, intelligent, sentient beings — NOT stuffed toys — they are members of our family — they do much for humanity — they depend on us — do not betray them — do not put them in danger’s way — The history of mankind is carried on the back of the horse — All horses deserve to be respected and protected.
