I’ve allowed this comment just to illustrate the level of intelligence we’re dealing with here. I, as anyone familiar with the site knows, age the horses according to their actual birth-dates, not the misleading way the industry does. Miss Marilyn was born May 13, 2016 and killed March 23, 2019 – making her, of course, two. Not only is Mr. “Peat Moss” (isn’t it funny how these cowards hide behind inane pseudonyms?) daft, his comment also speaks to his – and the industry’s – level of desperation. Can’t get me on the fact – yet another dead horse – so go after an immaterial technicality. Sad people, indeed.
But has anyone else noticed that when racing apologists post and/or comment about some lucky former racehorse still living in a sanctuary somewhere, they age them correctly THEN? – “Here’s Blackie! – he will be 18 next month and he’s enjoying his retirement!”

And what does it matter if this poor horse was 2 or 3 or 13? She’s still dead from racing. If you died horrifically from an injury that was inflicted on you against your choice- would it matter if you’re 24 or 48? You’re still dead. Horrifically. Shows the level of intelligence, and the indifference, of many pro racing advocates.
Sounds to me like “Peat Moss” had some connection to the horse!!
