“Suffered a Fatal Injury” at Aqueduct

The 7th at Aqueduct yesterday, as described by Equibase: “WESTERDALE took up the chase from path two during the opening half, backed away suddenly leaving the half mile pole after suffering a fatal injury, got pulled up, then after being examinded [sic] by a track veternarian [sic], was euthanized.” This race, of course, is the only one of yesterday’s Aqueduct card not available for viewing on the NYRA website.

This, from earlier in the NY Racing week: Doyouknowsomething, says the Gaming Commission, “sustained left elbow injury in [his Belmont] stall” Tuesday, “ambulanced to Ruffian clinic, where radiographs revealed fracture necessitating euthanasia.” Doyouknowsomething was a couple weeks shy of his 7th created-day and was being readied for whip-forced race number 53.

  1. Sick, sick, sick people.
DOYOUKNOWSOMETHING made over $578,155 and wasn’t performing as of late.
Then, suddenly, injures himself so bad that it necessitates euthanasia.
This stall was his prison for years, and never did get hurt in it.
No investigation will ensue or nothing ever comes out of their bogus investigations.
How can anybody support this carnage?
There are no excuses to continue supporting this pathetic parasitic business – none.

  2. LINDA RICE whom the industry calls a “trainer,” is really a racehorse maimer and killer based on her record.
She’s been at it for years and and she’s at it again when HALSEY broke down in Race 8 yesterday at Tampa Bay Downs.
The usual description from Equibase charts: “took a bad step…..vanned-off.”
    Fate unknown.
Ms. Rice has horses racing all over the place, a string in New York, a string in Florida like other trainers.
The owners continue to send them to her knowing that she has a lengthy record of maiming and killing so they are all to blame here as well.
This poor filly was sent to this monster.
Ms. Rice continues to feed off her voiceless victims, the racehorses, just like a blood sucking parasite.
