In the 6th at Mahoning, Major Drama “dueled for the lead along the rail into the stretch, suffered a catastrophic injury to his left front leg, pulled up and was euthanized.” Major Drama was five; he was “For Sale” the day he died.
In the 7th at Parx, Warrior Lake “hustled to the front inside, stopped on the turn and was eased in the stretch. He subsequently returned to the paddock, collapsed and died.” Warrior Lake was only four – an adolescent. “Collapsed and died.”
This is horseracing.
Are you people serious – this is what you call horse racing – this is horse slaughter and you bastards should all be put down with the horses – I mean dead like the horses. What kind of god damn idiots think that they know anything about horse racing that treat their animals to this daily abuse. You are disgusting human beings and horse racing should be stopped everywhere in the world. This is horse slaughter and there are no other words to describe this deplorable act of cruelty. All of you owners, trainers, jockeys are all a bunch of assholes and know nothing about the sport or certainly know and care nothing about the animals. Jesus may you just all rot in hell for this torture you put on these amazing animals. These are the animals that give their “all” for you bunch of greedy bastards who care nothing about the animals only about the god damn money. You are all just a waste of “skin.” May all of this abuse turn around and end up on each of you in your lifetime – you deserve nothing better than death.
MAJOR DRAMA spent his entire life enslaved to this vile business and the vile people who exploited him.
He endured rigorous physical pounding on an underdeveloped muscoskeletal system, at about 1.5 years old, to ready him for the infamous 2 year-old-in-training sales where he sold for $18,000.
His doping/medical/vet records kept secret throughout this time and don’t follow them to the racetrack where the potential for high danger and unsafe conditions only worsens.
This is a typical scenario for most racehorses when their physical ailments probably begin at a young age, exacerbate with time, and are continually masked with dope disproving the “bad step” theory that connections often resort to when their racehorse drops dead in the dirt. (according to reputable peer-reviewed vet studies).
The fact that the medical records don’t follow these horses is deliberate so that racing cards and wagering coffers can be filled.
Their life before they die is filled with pain, suffering, and misery it seems.
This business is vile.
