  1. “fell over a fallen foe”
One would think that this speak is referring to a World War 1 battlefield.
It sure is a battlefield for these horses with all that goes on in a race. How appropriate for an Australian racehorse to be officially named “Battlefield”. I’m not joking. Needless to say that Battlefield wasn’t around for long.
Whoever writes these charts/reports is clearly of the view that a racehorse has enemies in racing – a “foe” that foe being fellow horses racing alongside one another…?
Speaks volumes about the mindset of these callous people.
The real foes of these horses are the human beings cruelly and mercilessly abusing them.

  2. vile way to make money out of cruelty and horse abuse this industry NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN 😡😡😡😡

  3. I watched the replay.
Right up until the time that Forty Lengths went wide he was repeatedly beaten/whipped, and the horror in his eyes is undeniable!
It’s difficult to conjure up sympathy for jockeys who get maimed and/or killed while beating a horse.
You would have to be heartless, and sadistic to beat an animal to perform.
Then true to form, the Stronach-owned Gulfstream Park, in collusion with others, ensured that the segment was edited out.
    Absolutely VILE.
The continuous deliberate cover-up intended to mask the horrors of horse racing is egregious.
The ongoing enabling of this animal cruelty is equally despicable.
Forty Lengths so sorry for you.

  4. These deaths are disgraceful. The owners, trainers, and jockeys all bear the responsibility for all of them. These people should be held accountable for what is premeditated aggravated animal cruelty and should be prosecuted.

Horse racing of any type is pure murder for these poor animals driven beyond their limits

    Outlaw this horrible so-called sport
